These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of this website and to the inspection services provided by B&B Inspections (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this website or engaging us, you agree to these terms. Specific work is also governed by the quote or booking we provide for that work; if there is any inconsistency, the terms of that quote or booking apply to that work.

Our services

We provide pre-purchase building inspections, timber pest inspections, staged construction (milestone) inspections and related reporting. The exact services for your booking are those set out in the quote or booking confirmation we provide.

Quotes and bookings

Quotes are based on the information you provide and are valid for the period stated, or for 30 days where no period is stated. Timeframes for attendance and reporting are confirmed at booking and are estimates made in good faith. You are responsible for arranging safe and reasonable access to the property and the areas to be inspected.

Inspections and reports

Our reports record the inspector’s opinion based on what was reasonably accessible and visible at the time of inspection, the information available, and the scope agreed. They are not a guarantee or warranty about the property, and they do not cover concealed, inaccessible or non-apparent conditions that could not reasonably be observed within the agreed scope.

A report is prepared for the client named in it and for the purpose for which it was commissioned. It should be read in full; extracts read in isolation may be misleading. Other parties should not rely on a report without our written consent.

Your responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and complete information about the property and your requirements;
  • Disclose any known hazards or restrictions affecting access or safety;
  • Obtain any necessary permissions for us to attend and inspect;
  • Use any report only for its intended purpose.
Fees and payment

Fees are as set out in your quote. Unless agreed otherwise, invoices are payable by the due date shown. We may withhold issue of a report until payment is received. Any work beyond the agreed scope may be subject to an additional fee, which we will discuss with you before proceeding.

Intellectual property

We retain ownership of the copyright and intellectual property in our reports and the content of this website. On full payment, you are granted a licence to use the report we prepared for you for its intended purpose. It may not be reproduced, amended or relied upon for another property or purpose without our written consent.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability can be limited by law, and to the extent permitted, our liability is limited to re-supplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.

This website is provided for general information. While we take care to keep it accurate, the content is not professional advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for an engagement with us. We may change or remove content at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
